E’ stata realizzata sui resti della preesistente Rocca Centrale che aveva subito modifiche nel corso dei secoli e già era stata dotata di un campanone.

Un primo orologio venne posto nel 1697.

Nel 1753 la Comunità decise di trasformare la rocca in torre per il campanile e sulla facciata, nel 1770, venne dipinta una meridiana.  Il 19 novembre 1774 venne sostituito l’orologio.

Come si può vedere, la torre si eleva su un basamento tardo romano ( o forse alto medioevale), costituito dal rustico bugnato del paramento attorno alla porta.

The Bell Tower
It was built on the remains of the pre-existing Central Fortress, which had undergone modifications over the centuries and had already been equipped with a large bell.
The first clock was placed in 1697.
In 1753, the community decided to transform the fortress into a bell tower and a sundial was painted on the facade in 1770. On 19th November 1774 the clock was replaced.
As you can see the tower stands on a late Roman or perhaps early medieval base, with rustic ashlar stone around the door.

La Tour du Clocher
Cette Tour a été construite sur les vestiges de la Forteresse Centrale préexistante qui avait subie des modifications au cours des siècles et qui était dotée d’une cloche.
Un prémier horloge y est placé en 1697.
En 1753, la communauté décide de transformer la Forteresse en clocher.
Sur la façade, en 1770, on peint un cadran solaire. 
Le 19 novembre 1774, l’horloge est remplacé par un autre nouveau.
Comme on peut voir, la tour s’élève sur une base (romaine tardive ou peut-être début du Moyen Âge), composée du bossage rustique autour de la porte.
