In questi locali, su iniziativa di Gaetana Moruzzi, nel 1762 iniziò a funzionare un piccolo “ Ospedale degli infermi” a cui, più tardi, si aggiunse il convento dell’ordine delle Domenicane che vi prestava servizio di assistenza. Una piccola chiesetta, dedicata a S. Gaetano e aperta al pubblico, completava la struttura.

Con la soppressione del convento gran parte delle stanze delle monache vennero occupate dai Gendarmi francesi, poi dagli Ussari e quindi dai Dragoni imperiali fino a diventare nella piena disponibilità dell’Ospedale civile.

Civil Hospital - Convent of the Dominican Nuns
In 1762, on the initiative of Gaetana Moruzzi, a small hospital began to operate for the sick.
Later, a convent of the Dominican order was added which provided care services. 
A small church, dedicated to St. Gaetano, completed the structure and was opened to the public.
With the suppression of the convent, most of the nuns' rooms were occupied first by the French Gendarmes, followed by the Hussars and then by the Imperial Dragoons until it came under the full possession of the Civil Hospital.

Hôpital civil - Couvent des Religieuses Dominicaines

Dans ces locaux, à l’initiative de Gaétane Moruzzi, en 1762 ,commença à fonctionner un petit “Hôpital desinfirmes”. Plus tard, s’y ajouta le couvent de l’ordredes Dominicaines qui y fournissait un service d’assistance. Une petite église, dédiée à Saint Gaétan et ouverte au public, complétait la structure.
Avec la suppression du couvent, une grande partie des chambres des sœur sont été occupé es par les Gendarmes français, puis par les Hussards et ensuite par les Dragons imperials jusqu’à devenir totalement disponibles pour l’Hôpital Civil.
