Costruito a partire dal 1894 su progetto dell’Arch. Lorenzo Concari, il macello sorse su parte dell’area che un tempo era stata destinata ad orto dalle terziarie francescane di S. Elisabetta che nel corso del XVIII sec. erano situate nel blocco che sarebbe poi diventato il palazzo Municipale.

Struttura di notevole importanza per l’agricoltura e per la fornitura di carne alle classi popolari, ebbe a funzionare fino al 1982.

Oggetto di recupero a partire dal 2005 è oggi sede del Centro Culturale Braibanti.

Macello Comunale - Slaughterhouse
Architect Lorenzo Concari planned the Macello starting from 1894. The slaughterhouse was built in the area originally destined to be a garden for the Franciscan tertiaries of S. Elizabeth. The nuns were placed in the block which afterwards became the Municipal palace in the XVIII century.
Until 1982 it was a place of notable importance for agriculture and meat supply for the popular classes.
The restoration started in 2005, and today it’s a site of the Cultural Center Braibanti.

Abattoir Communal
Construit à partir de 1894 sur un projet de l'architecte Lorenzo Concari, l'abattoir futérigé sur une partie du terrain qui avait autre foisété estiné aupotager par les tertiaires franciscaines de Sainte Élisabeth. U cours du XVIIIième siècle, elle shabitaient dans la partie qui allait devenir plus tard le Palais Municipal.
Cette structure, d'une importance considérable pour l'agriculture et pour l'approvisionnement de viande aux  classes  populaires, a fonctionnéjusqu'en 1982.
Objet de restauration à partir de 2005, cetabattoir est aujourd'hui le siège du Centre Culturel Braibanti.
